Four houses were gutted in a horrific fire on Saturday night in Durga Nagar area of ward number 40 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. There is no news of any casualty in the incident. On receiving information about the incident, two fire engines reached the spot and after about two hours of hard work, the fire was brought under control.
Local people said that sparks of fire were seen coming from inside a closed house. During this time suddenly a gas cylinder exploded. Due to which the fire spread rapidly. Gradually the fire reached the nearby houses. Due to which people got scared. On receiving information about the incident, Ward Councilor Rajesh Prasad Sah also reached the spot. After this the councilor talked to the victims.
Ward councilor Rajesh Prasad Sah said that four houses were burnt in the fire. The fire was brought under control with the promptness of the local people and the help of fire fighters. There is no news of any casualty in the fire. All possible help will be provided to the victim's family.
